I placed it in my living room where we have a fair amount of foot traffic throughout day. The 5’3” x 7’3” size is just right for my space and allows for some of the tile floor to still peek through nicely. The design is an abstract greyscale splatter with grey being the primary color and smaller white veins throughout. When I first received it, I did have to air it out outdoors for several days to get rid of the plastic, chemical scent of this rug. The underside of this rug does not have a black backing of any sort, which I prefer since it does not deposit any residue or black dust over over time. I was happy to know that there are no loose strands or threads on this rug and it is made out of an extremely soft and comfortable material. It is pretty durable given that my dog has dug on it, too, as dogs do.
