Most rain barrels on the market don't fully utilize the water they hold because the spigot is located about halfway up the barrel. This allows buckets to be filled but leaves about a quarter of the water standing behind, which can be hazardous. Barrels with optimally located spigots don't allow room for filling buckets and leave hoses as the only option for drainage. The slide itself is great inflates fast was very easy to put up. The kids have not used it yet with water in it because it is still a little cool where we are. The blower is strong enough to keep it inflated when in use. It has plenty of drain holes to allow for easy deflating of the slide. The tie downs hold it very stable. Netting at the top keeps the kids from falling forward on the slide. Seems to be very well-made time will tell. My Grandkids loved it. Our rain barrels are uniquely designed with plastic fittings that match the rate of expansion and contraction of barrel plastic from season to season to avoid leakage. These rain barrels are repurposed from pre-used imported food barrels. There may be slight scratching or scuffs due to previous overseas transportation. Since our rain barrels are made of High-Density Polyethylene Plastic they can be left outdoors even in the winter months so there is no need to modify your downspouts in the Spring and Fall. The exact shape of the barrels may vary due to availability but the color and size remain true. Because these barrels were originally used to transport food, there may be residual food product odor. The residual odor will dissipate after a few full barrel filling cycles. We use a PH-balanced, environmentally friendly soap when cleaning so that the water gathered can immediately be used on plants without harm. These barrels keep difficult to break down plastics from adding bulk to landfills and also contain and repurpose stormwater.
