The whole thing does blow up just fine with the valve open, but it won’t hold up as well without the valve closed with the ties. This is a great buy! I’m in Florida and as long as you drape it over a few chairs and let it dry out no mold has grown on it. You also don’t have to lift it up for it to drain. Really nice sink! The material seems sturdy, and the color is nice. We wanted a single bowl, and this one is great because it’s deep and spacious! It also has a lot of fancy extras that are a nice perk. Unfortunately, the cup wash function is not pressure activated, so you have to be careful not to accidentally click that switch without anything on it. My only complaint is that the measurements do not account for the mounting brackets. We were replacing our old sink with this one, measured 3 times to be certain we got the right size, and it 33” without the mounting brackets. Not a big deal if you’re cutting out the countertop at the time of install, but ours was previously cut out, so it wouldn’t fit without shaving down the countertop 1/2 inch or grinding off the mounting bracket. I can’t say enough good things about this product. It came with one box and included the pump and inflatable slide. You unroll it, attach the sleeve to the pump, hit on and it inflates in one minute. I like the higher wall for the pool because the slide really is fast and the higher wall keeps you safe in the pool. You need to keep the air pump on while in use, and it comes with a port for your water hose. Great for both kids and adults (big kids at heart).
