They double boxed the item along with styrofoam and stiff cardboard on all corners and along the top and bottom, and sides of the entertainment center. The dresser has a drawer safety lock system where only one drawer can be opened at a time to prevent tipping. Great concept! It did come with a scuff inthe leg but can easily be painted over..
