Installing this in a dry-walled garage, for instance, will take some doing including cutting away drywall and add 2x4 supports. This engineered flooring is a neutral greige tone. The finish is smooth with no wood texture feel. The top and bottom plank are full length where the middle pieces are split which I thought was odd but maybe that’s how all boxes come The backside of the planks are a rustic finish that I kind of like (see last photo). Took the plunge on this when it was on sale and it's gorgeous. Very big, but a quality piece and very elegant. We have it on a dimmer, which adds lovely dimension. We had it professionally installed, but our electrician didn't have too hard a time of it (though it is heavy and took 2 sets of hands at one point).
