I did not purchase this to use as a desk. I needed a corner vanity and did not want to spend a lot of money. This was perfect for the budget and worked out great! The directions were very straightforward and easy to follow with the exception of the final step of placing the top shelving to the bottom base. The two sections in the corner as I show in the picture want to separate. This requires two people. I assembled this by myself and it took several hours. It is a great piece of furniture for a gaming desk or to use as a vanity. The light strip is a straight continuous wire and does not have an L shape to allow for the corner and sticks out. Nice and simple desk, exactly what I was looking for. I was having a hard time finding a smaller gaming desk, because its not always that much room in kids room for a 47" to 53" desk so I'm extremely happy about the fact I found a smaller one on wayfair and it was easy to put together, around 25 minutes or so. Have had this for about a month now and love it. Wasn't too awful to put together and is quite sturdy. I have it pushed up against my standing desk.
