This is the second Vornado table fan that I have purchased for myself. Vornado claims that you can keep your air-conditioning set higher as the fan does such a great job and it is true. These are only 200 watts, it makes them safe if you have questionable house wiring, most house wiring should be considered questionable, and energy efficient if you only need spot heating where it is needed.
