This is the second Vornado table fan that I have purchased for myself. Vornado claims that you can keep your air-conditioning set higher as the fan does such a great job and it is true. I have pets so the automatic shutoff is a great safety feature. I have a open concept downstairs and as an older house there is a lot of gaps that lets in the cold, this has been a great help in warming up the various rooms, I tried it in two smaller rooms upstairs and it kept the rooms very comfortable.
