The power on the Fotile range hood is excellent. For most cooking, I stay on the first 2 out of 3 fan settings. For high smoke activities such as seasoning a wok or searing steak, the 3rd settings is more than enough to suck up all the fumes. The fan speeds are all pretty quiet. This is a beautiful hood, at a great price. Wayfair customer service went above and beyond to replace the original “lost” shipment when the first transportation company claimed the hood was delivered and signed for. The documentation proved that to be impossible based on the date it left the warehouse. As we were missing a few inches to the ceiling with the included chimney component, we ordered the longer version directly from the manufacturer. Including a picture of the range hood after install, and a second picture after painting. Our only issue with the product is that it “whistles” at its lower speeds and due to slightly inconsistent suction, the metal grills were vibrating against the lower horizontal frame. So perfect! We ordered this to replace a bulky microwave that was over the range. This was the perfect fit! My grandpa is handy and was able to cut an old extension cord to connect the wires from the hood vent and make it able to plug in for power. Otherwise this would have needed an electrician or someone savvy like him to get the light and fan working. It’s not an easy plug and play for power.
