It polishes up nicely and is clearly well-made. I feel like it will last for years. My cheaper utensils, specifically spoons have developed nicks and burrs. These are substantially made. I wish the packaging was nicer, because I was going to gift this set. The packaging is NOT gift worthy, to say the least. However, the product itself is 10 stars. It's great to find Riedel quality on the Wayfair site. Earlier in the year I ordered the champage glasses which are a bit smaller. I put the white wine glass next to it so you can see the difference.
