I've had 3 of these Simmons shower valves for over 30 years. The trim uses a clear plastic knob and a now very worn out backer template. Everything about the trim was very tired and the socket portion of the knob broke when I was trying to remove it to change the actual pressure balancing valve insert. This new design is significantly cleaner looking and will likely easily outlast my previous plastic valve handle. I like this so much that I subsequently ordered 2 more for my other taps.. Bill. Custom sizes of this finish are available for special order. These door kick plates are used to protect the lower part of doors from scuff marks and damage by carts.
