The vent cover arrived quickly and in good condition. I like the modern, clean style and the screws are hidden. The installation instructions are clear and remind you multiple times to measure the opening and purchase the cover appropriate for the space. There is no wheel or mechanism to open and close the baffles. You use your fingers or a screwdriver which could be a pain if you are using it in a ceiling or other difficult to access area. The CleanVent is a magnetic, screw-less, retrofit vent cover: featuring hidden air flow tabs. It is easily repositioned when installed, which can fix the problem of improper installed, crooked or misaligned vents. The CleanVent attaches via magnets screwed into the vent box itself, pulling the vent box tight to the ceiling which can eliminate vent sweating. Easily removed for cleaning and painting. Each CleanVent is manufactured in the USA out of .040 5052-H32 aluminum, (not plastic). The CleanVent and defusing screen are powder-coated in gloss white and can be painted. The Inner air flow tabs are .040 stainless steel and can be positioned in any direction. Please note the CleanVent sizes are for inside vent measurements, the overall size of the CleanVent is 1-1/2 inches bigger on all 4 sides for the frame around the vent opening. We LOVE this thing! Best upgrade ever. We purchased a sufficiently rated countdown timer switch with intervals that seemed appropriate for a bathroom heater (Leviton DT102 15-30-1h-2h) and have been enjoying this heated mirror so much. A brief ON will defog the mirror, while 15 minutes ON (switching on a bit before getting into the shower) is long enough for it to heat up fully and make a huge difference when stepping OUT of the shower. 30mins is great for getting ready on a very cold morning. The mirror optics seem very clear and high quality. We did not do the installation ourselves, as it was put in during a whole house rewire the electricians opted to put in a recessed outlet box behind the mirror and just plug it in there, rather than hard wiring it. This will preserve flexibility going forward. Because it was going in a very particular place, and we have plaster rather than drywall, they opted to install cross pieces of plywood secured to the wall, and mounted the mirror to the wood strips. It’s very secure-feeling. My one negative point is the thing gets so warm that it’s not comfortable to lean my face close (bad eyesight) for putting on make-up. This is something that might require finessing your timing if it was your only mirror, or setting up a small well-lit mirror in another location.
