These arrived this week and were incredibly well packaged for safe shipping and are very well built. These are made of wood, not particle board. The installer is a cabinet maker and he was very impressed with how well packaged these came. Even while they were packaged very well, the center drawer’s face has a split in it. This dehumidifier keeps my 700 sq foot apartment humidity levels below 50% -- if not on, the humidity climbs to the high 70s! It's not very loud--just a little white noise in the background that doesn't interfere with TV, music, conversations, etc. I do have to empty the tank every day (sometimes 2x), but it's easy to take out and dump in my sink so not a problem. My previous dehumidifier was the smaller version and ran continuously for almost a year, but then stopped working. I was refunded the amount I paid for that one, and in turn bought this one.
