My two kitties love their new space! We have two 9 months old kitties that we rescued when they were 3 12 weeks old. They are indoor cats but we wanted to give them a safe sanctuary when are not home. I put the structure together myself and it probably would have gone quicker if I had help but I took my time and the instructions were easy enough to follow. The wood is strong enough for indoor but I don’t think it would last long outside in the elements. I didn’t use the roofing material that came with it since I have it inside the house. It’s nice. Quality is good not the greatest some parts came dented (wood and cage material) but overall good quality. Sooooo many screws to put together so get your drill ready took three people for us to build but definitely minimum is two. We reinforced the platforms with extra screws and few other areas. Bought this for my sphynx cat who can’t stay outside for long periods of time but I want to let him get some fresh air! Having the solid weatherproof roof helps block any sunlight and keeps him shaded. The size and everything is great because he’s a lounge cat he isn’t super active and really uses this to lay and listen to the birds and get fresh air. I was hesitant about ordering a product with AI photos (seriously Wayfair??) but it was hard to find dimensions that would work with our windows as most catios or cat boxes are made for standard size windows and ours are tall but skinny. My fiance spent the weekend installing it and install was tricky because our placement wasn’t on a flat surface and he had to drill holes in concrete. The install was the only tricky part (and that’s because of our windows so he added additional wood supports). However, assembly was very quick and our cat took to it almost immediately. We also added some sticky foam along the edges to help seal it from bugs. It feels very secure, looks just like the picture, and feels durable enough for our cat. Very pleased with this!. Zinnia. It looks nice and is perfect for what I need! But the screws for the box need to be longer. I had two come out within minutes of putting them in.
