I finally broke down and invested in a better vacuum. This thing is amazing! Mostly hard flooring and its highest setting picks up everything- doesn’t blow it around. This is the quietest range hood I have ever used with an unique design. The installation is straight forward for most with video tutorial online that's readily available. I went with a professional installation. This range hood is rated at 1100cfm and the unique design has worked very well. My home no longer smells even when I deep fry. I did two modifications for my installation. I went with a Zephyr 6"-8" duct increaser. The reason I did this is because the range hood is rated over 1000cfm. This might not be necessary but it's a choice I made for myself because of the rated CFM. My installation required a 4" spacer piece. I used 6" 10-32 fine thread screws to secure my upper cabinet to the range hood to make up the 4" spacer difference. This is not necessary according to Fotile but I went the extra mile for $13 more in screws, bolts, and washers. So far I am very satisfied with how quiet and powerful it is. I received my Dyson Air Purifier/ Humidifier as a tenure gift from my employer. I’ve had it about 7 weeks and very happy with my selection. I use it in my small 10x10 bedroom and it makes the room significantly cooler and the air fresher. It is very quiet and does not bother my sleeping at all. I did have some concerns with the humidifier not working, but after a little online research I didn’t have the humidity setting high enough. The only way to mount and make it work would have been to cut or replace mycabinets and I’m definitely not doing that. Next time I’ll measure better. This was apart of a tried an true review..
