Because they are going on a second floor ceiling, which is vaulted and might be 24 feet high. We have to have our electricians come out to install these. Otherwise it would be very easy for my husband to install these if it was only on a regular height ceiling. We really love the look of these. The fixture is beautiful and very good quality. The crystal is great quality too. It comes with plenty of rods for height adjustment. My only complaint is the color light bulb that comes with chandelier. They are a warm bulb and very yellow. We didn’t realize until it was installed.
