I am so excited for this mini split unit. Getting a new central air conditioner is just not in the cards right now. This is a very affordable price for the amount of ac and heat that you are getting. Things of note, we had to buy a specialty drill bit to be able to install the units properly. We live in a brick house and needed to be able to drill through the brick. The lines that connect from outside to inside need about a 2 inch diameter hole to pass through. We also decided to buy a rack so that we could hang the main condenser above the ground. We were not able to install this by ourselves and had to call for reinforcements via an HVAC guy. Once everything is finished being installed I will update with the finished product! UPDATE: like others have posted, you will need a special HVAC vacuum to start the unit. You will also need special wire and a 220 outlet to connect to. I bought this to run my iron worker because I didn’t have 3 phase electric. My shops single phase . The directions are decent. I wish someone would make a video on how to adjust the settings that’s the only confusing part . I need 60HZ but my machine is working on the factory 50hz setting so for now that’s where it’s gonna stay. I had to bypass the factory control board & wire it directly to the motor. I love the mini split it works great however, if it’s really cold outside the heat only works for so many hours then stops . The AC works great it’s only the heater that at 20-30 degrees works for awhile then stops. Belinda. US. Thu Feb 05 2026
