This is a great raised garden bed. We did get chicken wire and put it under the entire structure, so moles and gophers couldn't come up through it, and believe me they have tried. The flaps are great when harvesting the back side of the plants. I didn't give this a 5 star, because the gate doesn't stay shut without propping something on it or placing a rock pile under it. Love this arbor! The instructions were very user‑friendly, and overall the assembly was straightforward. It definitely requires two people to put together, but once you get going it comes together nicely. I did have to redrill the holes where the rail attaches to the side lattice, but aside from that the process was simple. This is an excellent product and if you have building skills, it's a breeze to put together! I bought this because it would work for my project. I was able to fully box in the pergola posts into my deck and keep everything flush mounted. The final trim and skirting have not been installed yet however, you get the idea! I now have three of these planters including the 39" rectangle. I'm planting root over rock bonsai in them all and that can get quite heavy when it comes time to replant! with this design, I can remove the slats from one side when the time comes and pull the whole composition out on a pizza paddle. I agree with the earlier review to drill screws for the top pieces, I also recommend securing the top boards in place first to make sure the sharp metal edges do not protrude above the wood. looks great poolside.. Perfect for my mini Urban garden. Easy to put together, I had it together by myself in an hour or just over. Being new to growing any type of food, and with limited space, this raised bed looks lovely and has enough space for several plants. I am very happy with this product, a little adjustment to make sure it was straight and tight before filling it up ensured it's not bulging out wards after filling. It been filled now for over a month with no bulging out the sides. It fit in a space perfectly that was unusable for anything else really, so growing something here was perfect. I do love the look of it as it is in my front garden, we live in a neighborhood so I needed something that looked nice. It is a bit hidden from street view. I added a few arch trellis to it, great for providing shade and netting, and if I get tired of growing veggies I can always grow flowering vines. I highly recommend this raised bed.
