The glass tile is very appealing and the glass is a nice compliment to and shine. I made a backslash which is removable for my apartment. I installed it on thin board and used French hooks to hold the weight. This way, I have a beautiful kitchen area. Amazing range hood! Not easy to install, we actually still were sweating trying to get it secured in with four people involved. The instructions say at least two people, but I would get more people helping! It understandably took us a long time, but it is very sturdy. We have just short of 8 ft ceilings, and wanted it about 30” over the stovetop, so we also had to cut the two covers for the top portion. Get a metal cutting wheel and grinder, it was definitely not a job for someone who doesn’t have experience doing that, but you could cut it a different way if needed. Not necessary to alter like that though for taller ceilings, or lower placements. Installation aside, this range hood works beautifully and is strong even on its lowest setting. The lights are not blinding, and it’s nice having just buttons for control on both sides. Absolutely would recommend, for anyone who has the right help to install! While I haven't installed this yet, I absolutely love the color and delicateness of this tile. It matches my vintage jadeite dishes perfectly. It has a slight opalescent sheen to it to give it just a pop of sparkle. It reminds me of jewelry. That being said it is delicate and extremely flexible, so I anticipate needing to go slow and being meticulous during installation.
