I’m extremely happy with my new vent hood—it has truly upgraded my kitchen experience. The design is sleek and modern, and it fits perfectly with my space. So far so good. Install was relatively easy, but because of its size, having a few extra folks to help hold it in place would be a good idea. My wife and I managed, but it was a bit tricky for just us 2 folks to install and we almost gave up. The gesture control seems a bit finicky, and we can't get it to work reliably. Maybe with time we'll figure it out. The buttons work fine though, and the remote control is a nice touch. The stainless-steel finish, display, and led lights look great. Definitely an upgrade from the Broan powerpack it replaced. As far as noise, it seems to be as loud as our old Broan PM350 we replaced. The grates tend to vibrate a little, so that with the fan contributes to the noise. I was hoping for something quieter, but it's no worse than the unit it replaced, so not a deal breaker. As for airflow, it seems a bit stronger than the broan unit it replaced, which was rate for only 350cfm. This one is rated at 900cfm at max speed, but i don't have a way to measure/confirm that. The fan cage seems bigger, and it's been doing a good job so far of keeping the smells/vapors out of the kitchen while cooking. Bought this hood since I needed to replace my old one and I must say this thing is absolutely amazing!! Easy installation and it came in perfect condition with no damages at all, it has a motion detector for your hands so you don’t have to press any buttons which was very very cool, also it sucks up the smoke so fast and well. Definitely recommended if you need a hood for your kitchen. It has such a clean finish to it and it should go well with any kitchen. I definitely recommend this hood unlike other hoods that are slow this one will make sure your smoke alarm won’t go off if you are cooking and release too much smoke. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first received this range hood I had some doubts about its quality/effectiveness. I just moved into a new home which ironically enough happens to be an old home. There was no ventilation fan or hood in the kitchen so every time I'm cooking or baking it turns my house into a sauna. So I figured anything is better than nothing! DIY installation was easy as the included instructions are very straightforward and understandable. I chose to fit it into a cabinet above my stove. Mounted it flush with the bottom of the cabinet so it looks as if it's been there all this time! I was shocked how well it extracts air, smoke, odors and most importantly (for me) is it does fantastic at pulling heat out of my home. Lights on it are as bright as you'll ever need and it's very easy to operate. Only 5 buttons. Haven't cleaned it yet but looks like it'll be a breeze based off of what I saw when I installed it. Overall you cannot go wrong with this range hood for the low price. Easily half the price as some of the big brand names but I wouldn't be surprised if its twice as effective!. Caydenb.
