[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this mattress for my son's room. I wanted something that would be somewhat soft and comfortable for him instead of a typical mattress. This folds out right from the box and starts getting bigger right away. It does have a slight smell and takes about 24 hours to be fully ready but would probably be fine before that if needed. The slight smell goes away quickly and is not that noticeable. I like that it's 8 inches thick. This is a good thickness in my opinion. This mattress works well on a platform bed or bunkie board. The size is great for my 5 year old. It is very comfortable with just the right amount of mixture between hard and soft. You don't sink into it. It's pretty firm for a memory foam mattress. Jrc85.
