First, it's gorgeous! I purchased this about 6-8 months before my home was built. Because other reviews mentioned how well it was packaged I didn't even open the box until I moved in and the mirror was safe and sound. I would highly recommend and I might upload another picture once everything is painted and my chandelier is hung. This mirror is solid and very well made. This is the REAL version of the Venetian Gondola. Fully functional at 14-feet long and beautifully painted in its original color black with white stripe. We also have a 24 and 36 feet long gondola available, upon request. This boat was completely handcrafted and takes about 600-800 hours to build. We still use the traditional method of construction while integrating the highest quality of materials currently available. Strips of red cedars are joined together by hand and then encapsulated in fiberglass bonded in place with epoxy resin then coated with marine vanish. This combination of fiberglass and epoxy is very strong and the wood will be protected for generations. Important Note: Please be aware that this gondola is a SPECIAL ORDER item which means right after you have placed the order, it will take about 30-60 days for us to build and ship it to you.
