I didn’t like seeing that through the glass so I used black stock card behind the glass doors and that did the trick. I am considering changing the knobs to something more primitive. I DO recommend the desk as long as you can accept the "CONS" I list. CONS; 1. IMPORTANT, The ledge is not wide enough to safely/securely place the stand of larger monitors. Unless you use a monitor arm I would not recommend this desk if you use anything above a 24" external monitor. 2. The 20" depth might be just a little too short if you are using a laptop with the lid open and an external monitor placed on the desk or ledge. 3. LEDs are not nearly as bright as pictures show. SO-SO The soft side drawers work but not something to brag about. I expected this so wasn't surprised. PROs I'm impressed at how sturdy it is for a light weight desk. Assembly was fairly straight forward as were the instructions that are pretty well written. Everything fit together well and assembly took less than 2 hours with two people. Finals thoughts. If you are using an external monitor I would suggest you consider NOT installing the ledge and use a monitor arm to get the most useable desk space. I did keep the ledge but might remove it later.. Surprisingly easy to assemble. Will need a second person to assist with lifting the top with legs attached. Only thing which is minor is that the instructions showed extra hardware like bolts and nuts were to be included but were not. Glad I didn't lose any during the install.
