I just put it together over the weekend and I have not installed the door yet. My first impression was the wood was brittle and prone to cracking. One of the window frames was cracked on delivery and I had to glue it together. I put it together by myself with some help from time to time. You have to be handy! The gazebo looks nice once finished . It was not too difficult to assemble even though the instructions are quiet rough . We did it with just my husband and I. The worst part is the roof pieces have a film that has to be removed and that took up the most of our time. It was brutal . Maybe 4 hours to remove . The good: We bought the 14x10 and it is heavy duty. I haven't fixed it to my deck yet, but I doubt that would even be necessary because it's heavy and sturdy. It gets 4 stars because I'm confident it will serve its purpose for a long time. The bad: I can't give it 5 stars because assembly was difficult, even with 2 people in their 30s. It took us a total of around 10-12 hours over a few days. When assembling the large/heavy support beams, you will probably need to have some kind of supporting table or shelf to lean them on (or have a person hold a large piece while someone affixes it to another) to prevent bending. You'll also need at least one step ladder and a Phillips head screwdriver, which the description fails to mention and isn't included. I waited for the Memorial Day Sale and got it at a great price! Shipping was fast. It said three boxes but box two was inside box one. I was able to lay out all of the pieces and everything was labeled very clearly. I worked on one step each night and with the exception of the steps that required two people I was ably to assemble this alone in a week. The only slow part was the roof panels have a plastic on BOTH sides that has to be removed. This took a little over four hours but it came of clean and easy (the metal is sharp). Assembly you will need 3 people to help lift the frame, the rest of the time I was able to do everything by myself, the directions are clear and easy to follow, just don’t assume you know what’s next and put in all the screws, it all turned out looking amazing and I recommend using some magnetic hooks for lighting and hiding wires.
