I was originally just looking for a small gazebo to enjoy the summer, but my wife happened to stumble upon this 12x20 monster. The price was right, so I figured, why not go big? It arrived on a truck, perfectly packed without scratch. Three of us started the assembly right after brunch and worked straight through the evening. We were finally able to sit back and relax. This is a beautiful gazebo. The instructions are in pictures so if you need words for direction you are out of luck. It took my husband and I a total of 24 hours to put it together and he is a mechanic. The total time was partially because of our unusual placement in which the gazebo extends further than our patio space. Also, we secured the front posts in an unconventional manner by placing them in large pots which were then filled with heavy materials. There are what seems like millions of screws and other pieces. There were quite a few "disagreements" while assembling this item which was entertaining for the neighbors. We both agreed that if anyone ever asks us to help them build a gazebo we will politely decline. All parts were present but we made sure of this prior to starting the build. There were a few times that we could have used the help of another person when building the frame but stepladders helped immensely. So far so good! Purchased to keep snow off 21ft pontoon. Not quite long enough to keep it all hidden but will add an enclosed extended end and add siding to the rest of the walls. No snow as of yet, but held up well during day long wind storm, it is parked between 2 seacans that are 24' apart. Wind made it move a bit but probably not as much if it had been out in the open. Turned out nice. Had this professionally installed and mounted the post in concrete blocks to give more stability. The metal pieces itself is lightweight aluminum but when connected together it’s sturdy. Only gripe are the shade connector poles. Their means of connecting could be improved because they slide off & disconnect from one another every now & then but so far holds up well with rain when shade is pulled back.
