This is a very nice kit. The most challenging thing in assembly is determining whether the instructions were showing the front or the back of the assembly. The product arrives in two long, flat boxes. The packing was sufficient for the most part except for the triangular pieces that are part of the roof. They were dented and scratched, but I didn’t think it was worth my time and trouble to try to have them replaced, so I pounded out the dents with a rubber mallet. The flaws are visible, but not as bad as how they came. Each piece of metal is covered with plastic film that should be removed before assembly, which takes a lot of time and patience, but once removed the metal surfaces are very clean with a good coating. Assembly definitely requires two people and several hours since there are over 300 screws, but once assembled, the structure is very solid. I was impressed with the engineering. All of the screw holes lined up and the instructions/diagrams were easy to follow. I built a wooden deck with 2x6 treated joists and treated plywood for the floor and screwed the base to that. Great starter coop! We ended up stapling chicken wire around the entire outside for extra protection and also added a second latch to the bottom of the door. We did have missing pieces to 4 of the latches and had to go buy some. Love the way it turned out. It’s definitely a two person job. It was fairly simple assembly until you get to the roofing part. Putting on the metal roof was a challenge, but workable with two people- one on a ladder. The holes lined up exactly with all pieces, but a few times we had to maneuver them and adjust to line things up. We did line up all of the roofing pieces on the ground before beginning as shown in the instructions. Highly suggest that. After assembly, it didn’t not feel as sturdy as we wanted, so we mounted ours to 4 x 4’s and staked those into the ground with rebar. Feels sturdy now. We are very pleased with it.. Kellye. This chicken coop is constructed with solid fir wood which printed animal-friendly coating. The wire is made of heavy-duty galvanized (wire openings are only 1/2"x 1/2") to prevent predators. 75.7" (L) x 62.5"(W) x59.1"(H) Roomy space provide a great living condition for 6 - 10 chickens, ducks. The whole roof is completely covered with asphalt to keep your poultry shaded from the sun and protected from the rain. Vents allow airflow to reduce moisture to keep your chicken house dry & avoid sickness. With a sliding door and handle, it is possible to close the sleeping area entrance from outside the coop.

Looks just like photo. Was well packaged and not damaged via shipping. However, there were a few split areas in the wood I had to glue. The instructions were not good at all! It said it'd only take an hour to put together but it took my son and I six hours, over two days, to get this together.
