I love this door. We paid 600 for installation. We were a little disappointed because I thought the glass would let in a little light. Our previous door bought on my light but no privacy. The door has two locks one automatically locks. The other is locked by a key. If you are looking for an aesthetically pleasing door to update your home buy it. ....Update this door is steel so it expand and contracts according to the weather. It cold now so it's hard to put the key in the door and the automatic lock does not lock, so you have to use your key to make sure it locks. There is also a space where cold come to the house. The Prehung doors took quite a bit to get them up and fitted and screwed in. But they're in and they look good. The prehung part is not a solid frame, but pieces that have to be assembled, screwed together and mounted. We got it done and did 3 doors. It's nice having doors when company comes. First, these doors are nice and solid. A little on the heavy side, so I am glad I wasnt installing these on my own. They are primed to a gloss so have to be sanded before painting, which is a little annoying, but it is what it is. They are not pre-hung, so you will not get any frame panels with them and as a result, the hinges dont sit recessed. When I read no hardware, I understood no hinges, handles, etc. which I was fine with as I had my own, but no frames would have been an issue if I didnt have the ones from the doors that didnt show up from the previous order that was cancelled (different vendor). They were delivered super quick which I appreciated and packed well. They did have some cosmetic issues that were from the factory (not FedEx), but not enough for me to go through the hassle to send them back. It was like each door had at least one nick in it! this is advertised as a prehung door and it is not. it comes in 3 boxes, one with the door in it, one with the frame in it(in 3 parts), and one with the hinges and door knob. there is no door know hole in the door, there is no notches where the hinges go in either the frame or the door, everything has to be cut out or drilled out. spend the extra money and buy one that is already put together as a real pre hung door.. While the overall experience was vey good up and until post delivery of the product, the aftermath was more than we could take: my wife and I were not expecting a tsunami of phone calls, e-mail onslaught and insistence that we should continue to associate, some at the most inappropriate times, with any and all customer service assistants even after bitterly complaining and even screaming through the phone at the dinner interuptor“perpetrators.
