Tulips are the indispensable blooms of the spring garden, as they bring it to life! They are unique in the range of size, shape, and bold color found in almost every color spectrum, that only tulips provide. Tulips are suitable for a wide range of plantings, are excellent in the rock garden, in formal beds, as elegant cut flowers, and for containers. They can be used in nearly any garden design scheme. Flowers are upward facing, with linear to lance-shaped green leaves on the stem. Tulip descriptions can become quite technical, as they are grouped into 15 different divisions, describing the petals, stamens, and leaves in detail. Plant several different varieties of tulips throughout the garden to extend the blooming time. There are over 3,000 tulip varieties. Tulip mixtures, or blends, remain among the best selling 'Do It For me' blends in North America. Consumers like them for their bold, curb appeal colors and simple selection. Yet, not all mixtures are created equal, and the varieties within the mixture make up the value of the overall mixture. Our mixture is made up of various possible Tulip types and colors that we carry throughout the season. Plant in mass sweeps for maximum effect. Buy several packs to get more types and colors as no two packs are the same. Like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get.

  • Extended bloom time
  • Classic cut flower favorite
  • Great for garden borders, cutting gardens, rock gardens and mass plantings
  • Grows 12-24" tall
  • Hardy in USDA zones 3-7

Daffodils (botanically called Narcissus) are long term perennials and make for great companions to not only other bulbs, but also annuals, perennials, and all sorts of shrubs. They soften hardscapes, accent most any garden, and are an inexpensive solution to adding color to your garden on nearly any budget. They are relatively pest free, and deer will not eat them. Daffodil classifications become quite technical, as they are divided into 13 divisions according to their flower shape and heritage by the American Daffodil Society. They do well throughout most of the U.S., as long as there is a discernible winter. Daffodils are ideal for large plantings and naturalizing, making them an exceptional value item and providing years of carefree color. After awhile, one daffodil bulb becomes two, then suddenly it has multiplied until there are now ten bulbs. Naturalizing daffodils are best planted where the foliage can ripen before the trees' foliage matures and where the grass can be left unmowed. Hillsides or wood edges making for excellent planting areas. They are best planted in large drifts. When planting bulbs in a natural area to be left undisturbed for years, plant deeply for your type of soil, at least 8 inches. They will thrive with little care.

  • Plant them once for season after season of color
  • Mixture of varieties that will naturalize throughout most of the USA
  • Deer resistant and years of carefree color
  • Grows 18" tall
  • Hardy in USDA zones 3-8
