So when I saw this on Wayfair, I thought I could upgrade my gas cooktop with a newer one, as the dimensions were the same as my old gas cooktop. It arrives and I was surprised that the quality was better than my old one by a little bit. The strikers that ignite the fire were a bit larger and shouldn’t have issues if they get dirty. Overall it is a good cooktop. Unfortunately, the underside of the cooktop is much wider than my old one, so I can’t replace it in my kitchen as the wood underneath the cooktop I have now is too narrow. The biggest difference is the speed, we genuinely could not believe how fast water boils on this unit. With induction, water boils in minutes, and cooking overall feels much more efficient and responsive compared to the long heat-up times we were used to. The Power Boost feature is especially impressive and makes a noticeable difference when cooking larger meals or trying to get things going quickly. I also really like the smooth, streamlined surface without traditional knobs. It gives the cooktop a modern look, and combined with the Matte Guard finish, it’s very easy to keep clean without constantly noticing every fingerprint or smudge. Another neat feature is the ability to link two burners together for a griddle. We haven’t tried that function yet, but it’s great to have the option available.
