I've been very impressed with the FOTILE 30" Slant Vent range hood. It’s extremely efficient at removing smoke and cooking odors, much more powerful than standard models. Despite its strong suction (up to 1100 CFM), it operates surprisingly quietly, which is a big plus in an open kitchen. The touchless control feature is also a standout. So far so good. The installation was tough as the template supplied for the alignment of the screw holes on the back didn't really work. We had to modify the holes on the back. We are planning on placing a stainless steel panel to cover the hole left by our microwave. The little remote was a cute feature I didn't realize it came with, so that was a bonus.. Jessica. This range hood is high quality. I bought a cheaper version a few years ago for my old house. I liked it, but now that I have this I can see where the cheaper one was lacking. This range hood is thicker steel that wont dent as easily. The oil tray is steel, the baffle filters feel commercial grade, the large duct size really moves a lot of air. I am glad I spent the money. Its loud but quieter than the old one. Relatively quiet for the amount of air it moves. The instructions are good, mounting is easy and secure. The power on the Fotile range hood is excellent. For most cooking, I stay on the first 2 out of 3 fan settings. For high smoke activities such as seasoning a wok or searing steak, the 3rd settings is more than enough to suck up all the fumes. The fan speeds are all pretty quiet.
