I've lived in this home for almost 8 years. The water about twice a year seems to be "shocked" with chlorine. Now my water test according to the state report is some of the cleaner in the state of NC, but the taste is horrible. The TDS tested at 43 and the chlorine was almost as high as pool water level. So my fiance and myself, after much research, decided on ispring. Cost, customer reviews, install and how it tailored to our issues were why we chose it. Chlorine was drying out our skin, causing itching, and damaging our hair and probably damaging our mitochondria if I had guess. Immediately after I got the whole house system installed and the system purged it was night and day. We've notice more energy, less stomach issues, our hair is easily brushed/combed. We can cook and bathe with the same tap water. I also added the RCC7AK for reverse osmosis to drink. The reverse osmosis water IS BETTER THAN ANY ALKALINE BOTTLED YOU CAN BUY!. Jamie. This is the only electric sharpener I know of where you can change out a sharpening stone set to switch from 20-degree-bevel knives (western knives) and 15-degree-bevel knives (asian knives) . The sharpener isn't cheap, but it seems to work really well and it saves having to chase down a sharpening service (who probably uses the same equipment) every time I need to touch up my kitchen knives.. Once upon I time I could sharpen my knifes to razor sharpness by hand. Decades later my hands are no longer steady enough to do that. I spent 10 minutes reading the instructions and then ten minutes getting two 8" knives sharper than I could do it by hand. After using it a few more times I'll be able to get a knife sharp in under a minute. Seriously, I think I'll be able to sharpen a knife as fast as a professional chef does with one of their sharpening rods.
