These smokeless fire pits amaze me! They are good at what they do for sure. Stood around mine for about 40 mins the other day and you could barely make out a slight smoky smell on my clothes. There are some distinct differences between this fire pit and the solo stoves. This thing is HEAVY duty (and just heavy) . Seems very sturdy, like it will last a while. A second difference is this thing gets HOT! Unlike the solo that doesn't get hot on the sides and bottom, this fire pit does! For me I consider that an advantage, I have stood around numerous solo stoves that I could barely feel any heat from it unless I was standing right up against it. This one kicks out some nice heat..
