This is the quietest range hood I have ever used with an unique design. The installation is straight forward for most with video tutorial online that's readily available. I went with a professional installation. This range hood is rated at 1100cfm and the unique design has worked very well. My home no longer smells even when I deep fry. I did two modifications for my installation. I went with a Zephyr 6"-8" duct increaser. The reason I did this is because the range hood is rated over 1000cfm. This might not be necessary but it's a choice I made for myself because of the rated CFM. My installation required a 4" spacer piece. I used 6" 10-32 fine thread screws to secure my upper cabinet to the range hood to make up the 4" spacer difference. This is not necessary according to Fotile but I went the extra mile for $13 more in screws, bolts, and washers. So far I am very satisfied with how quiet and powerful it is. We love the clean lines, and size since we have narrow cabinet depth. The fan and lights work great. The knob for adjusting both of them has a learning curb, since it continues to rotate and doesn't come to a stop just keeps cycling thru and the knob has a bit of a wobble to it (came preinstalled). We just installed and it took us 4 to 5 hours, but we also had to retrofit a tad. Looking forward to seeing how it works with grease collecting and putting in dishwasher. Love that option feature!.
