Because ceramic carbide is impervious to friction, it can last for many years before needing replacement. Solid brass body and stem with 3/8" x 16PT teeth on spline count for the handle. The cartridge thread size is 1/2-14 NPSM. Featuring an M24 x 1.0 threaded collar, and a rubber O ring at the bottom.

The legendary Temptrol pressure-balancing, anti-scald mixing valve is the heart of every Symmons tub and shower system. Each valve is constructed of solid brass, bronze, and stainless steel, and features an adjustable piston that instantly and continually balances the hot and cold water pressure as demand fluctuates in the plumbing system. An adjustable stop screw limits the maximum hot water temperature. The Temptrol features a one-piece cast brass body that is designed to accommodate back-to-back and thin-wall installations.
