These turned out beautifully but I severely underestimated the amount of time it would take to get them to this point. I struggled to get these to stain as dark as I wanted. I tried just staining them at first and then had to go back and sand them down to get them to stain darker. Uhg! I’m once again wishing for 3.5 stars or a 710. Yes, the Rev-A-Shelf does work and their competition is weak, so I keep buying it. I think this is number four for me in the last few years. It works but they cost so much and leave so much to be desired. The main lacking component in this piece is the absolute waste of space above the can which could easily have been a pull-out drawer. If you’re looking at other pieces, my experience says they’re most likely lacking something too. I hope a competitive company that’s actually good enters the market. For now, let me tell you, it’s probably less expensive and better quality to have something custom-made. I’m doing that for another piece in my kitchen and saving money. I just couldn’t find good cans for this one or would’ve done it too. Over time you’ll probably forget how much you spent on Rev-A-Shelf, which is probably more than twice as much as it’s already marked up retail price should be, but, if you pick it and install it correctly, it should work.. This closet is MDF, short for Medium-Density Fiberboard, is manufactured by combining wood fibers, resin, and other additives. So, it does not feel or smell like wood, it feels more like plastic, it has texture to it like wood that was added to it. It has a white opaque color, so the closet doors do not have a shine to them. Since it is made of MDF, stains can be wiped off with a Lysol wipe. But obviously don't let stains sit because then they won't come off. The product came in two huge extremely heavy boxes, that the consumer has to assemble themselves. You have to assemble each panel, like every thin board in each door panel, including the thin boards that cross each door panel. I really recommended you pay a handyman to install it, unless you can do it yourself. It took 4-5 hours for my 2 handymen to install the closet due to adjustments they had to do. My home is an older 1960's home, so if your home is more modern it might take less time. Also, my handymen bought a thin board to cover the top of the closest, again I emphasize that my home is older, you might not need to do this. The bypass option is made available on one track. It is never an easy job to install a double-track bypass kit. Sometimes the clearance you have is not enough, sometimes the gap between the two doors is too large, and sometimes it just feels frustrating to put all the pieces together. Now, with our single-track bypass option, installing a bypass kit has never been easier. You can just follow the steps for a standard double-door kit and replace the regular hangers with the bending ones.PLS KINDLY NOTED THAT IT IS SINGLE TRACK BYPASS RATHER THAN DOUBLE TRACKS BYPASS.

The product looks fine after unpacking, however the instructions for assembly are confusing in my opinion and the diagrams are not done well. I have not assembled it yet, and will look to find something perhaps on youtube for the product assembly.
