I'm 78 and single, so opening up the box with many parts and only pictorial instructions I was a bit intimidated, especially since it indicated it was a 2 person assembly. Fortunately I remembered how a similar umbrella I'd purchased 6 years ago had been assembled (by someone else) ; I was able, in 2 hours, to figure it out and put it up by myself.
