[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a sleek looking vent hood with options to vent into the kitchen or through the roof. We elected to vent through the roof. The fan is very quiet even on the 3rd high speed. The filter is easy to remove for cleaning. The lights are bright over the cooktop. This thing is heavy duty, had some installation issues as the bolt pattern was a little different than the unit i replaced. The instructions don't mention what all the hardware is for but I recommend getting an extra long screw extension and some screws with washer built in. The angle brackets they included for what i assume is a cabinetless setup came in handy to hold it up while I got the top screws in. Its quite heavy compared to old unit needed to reinforce cabinet to hold the weight. Also cut off the plug to do a direct wire install. Performance is very good so far and not very loud. The only think I am not crazy about is the bright halogen lights, they should be further back so it illuminates whole stove more than your eyes. Overall this is a solid unit in its price range and I can finally put battery back in my smoke detector. Good quality unit, the only complaint is the lights that come with it, very low wattage, not bright at all (GU10 LED 1w 15deg 5000k). I purchased lights at the local hardware store, and now it’s bright (GU10 LED 6w 40deg 3000k), looks great now.. Kurt. Mahomet, IL. Mon Nov 27 2023

I had two issues with the installation. One was the cardbord template they supplied, it was a little bit off on one hole location. Remeasure all the location holes on the hood to confirm the actual location points. The other was the 6 inch exaust outlet. My 6 inch exaust pipe was very difficult to fit over it, since both had the same dia. However there are special adaptor rings available from your hardwood store, so they fit properly together. This is my first baffle filter hood, looks great and overall satisfied with all the functions and performance . How well it collects the grease in the back tray is too early to report since I just installed it. I would recomend this hood. Anonymous. Tue Aug 19 2025
