An antique Persian Shirvan Rug, late 19th century. A grid of interconnected diamond shapes layered with class design motifs including greek key and cruciform shapes. Brown, coral, orange, ivory, and an unexpected teal blue accent on a neutral field. Most Caucasian rugs display bold geometric or simplistic botanical designs in primary, usually dim hues. The general color palette of carpets from the Caucasus consists of toned, autumnal shades such as brown, black, crimson, ochre, and forest green, with accents of navy blue and indigo appearing more sporadically. The most unusual of antique Caucasian antique rugs are the rose-patterned ones, clearly created in response to Western tastes.

When she designed the Berkeley Chandelier, Bunny Williams was inspired by a Swedish bed corona that hangs in her home. In a dexterous mix of antique gold and moss gray finishes, the gray and gold chandelier has classical details accentuated by the contrast in hues.
