For the price of $809 and free shipping this was worth it for me. Having said that, there are issues. The ash drops through a chute BEHIND and underneath the unit. I have not figured out what can be put back there to collect ashes. It will have to be a wide short metal bucket of some type. I think this should have been mentioned and provided or be for optional order. Then there is the ridiculous excuse for an owners/instruction manual. How hard would it have been to expand that just a little...for instance...I do not know what the lever in front underneath the firebox is for...I assume for dropping ash.......then there is the problem of .....is the back position closing up the ash drop, or is the forward position that causes ash to drop? The unit was built in November of 2025 and arrived Dec 15, 2025 but all that notes that on the metal sheet from the back is a dimple in a box, and for the model number. I might have bought a different make of wood stove had I known all the above for $100 more plus the separate purchase of a blower....and all of them seemed to be out of stock. We purchased this for a new home build that had a slide in range in an island. We did not want an exhaust hood that hung down from the ceiling and this one was perfect for a flush mount in the ceiling. It was priced considerably less than other brands that had white glass finishes. There are a couple discoveries we made however. It did not turn on once the power was brought to the new build. We called Awoco and were told to check in the black box under the stainless grill, for a white connection that sometimes is disconnected. That solved the problem and the unit lit up and worked with the remote and the voice commands. Customer service was very helpful and seemed to know exactly what to look for. There is one other thing to be aware of with the voice command, occasionally it picks up what it believes to be a request for action and starts talking, asking for directions. We thought we were hearing voices until we realized it was the exhaust fan talking.
