While this is great for a commercial business, I have been using it as a trash receptacle for my backyard outdoor kitchen. It has been outside 24/7 for the past 3 weeks and has no signs of rust, even after being exposed to rain. Because it is so heavy, at least 50 pounds, I have not had any problems with it blowing away. IMy only complaint is that I wish the top part swung open. I use it for mboxes as well as cans and bottles. You have to take off the whole top to put in anything larger in diameter than a soda can. I like the garbage can.. not the garbage could be bigger but it will due. Garbage bags fit the garbage cans well. It doesnt seem like there is a way to tie the bags closed. i thought maybe it would have a tie to tie it together but there was no tie.
