[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have always wanted to try a coffee grinder, since hearing that your coffee just tastes better if you grind your own beans right before brewing. Well, they weren't kidding! I don't think I'll ever go back to pre- -ground coffee. I've never tasted a better cup of coffee, than when I just grind the beans before. This grinder is well made and durable. We have used it everyday since getting it, and it has never given any issues. You just put your beans in the top container, which is marked with very clear Maximum line. After doing that you pick from a dial on the side what kind of machine you have such as drip, espresso or press and there are also settings for grind within those choices. After that just pick the amount of cups you are brewing from the dial on the top and press on. The grinder will automatically shut off when the correct amount of coffee has been ground. When you detach the bottom cup to get your freshly ground coffee, just do it slowly so you don't disturb the fine grounds. It leaves less of a mess that way. I used mine for a drip coffee maker and the grounds seem to be the correct grind. It comes with a special brush to keep your machine clean and also directions to clean the blades/burr, which you should do frequently. I’m in the process of finding a new outdoor table with an umbrella hole, and I have no worries that this base will keep the umbrella steady. I like the fact that it come with several hole adjustments for various size poles. I had to use the 1.5 inch hole tube. Update, have a new table with the umbrella hole. Amazing...I grappled with buying these columns for 2 years, because of the non-refundable policy, so I had to be sure. I have a small porch so I knew I couldnt get the columns to wide or the proportions would look odd. So I used makeshift cardboard and the like to determine what to buy...I made the best decision with the 5.63 width columns they look amazing. My contractor bought 5 wood post from our local big box store and used brackets to install them on the porch. He used his nail gun to fasten each wrap to the wood post, he said it was rather simple to install. Next he caulked all the small nail gun holes and painted ( per instructions for winter protection) looks amazing.
