We plan to plant cucumbers or pole beans in this rolling garden bed. Maybe tomatoes. Still dickering over what vegetables go in which of our bed. When I saw this, I thought how nice it would be -- a single planter with its own trellis/case, and it rolls, so if needed we can quickly move it in case of a bad storm, etc. It was fairly easy to put together, even with the non-textual instructions. Pictures are ok, but they don't always give the complete advice. I had trouble with the cage portion - you use the smaller rods for the horizontal pieces, and the longer ones for the vertical. In the end, we were left with a mismatched number and could not build the top layer. That's ok - I can't imagine this going higher! It took an hour to assemble, and I did need to use a hammer( not included) to tap the metal poles together. The basket is made of a plastic woven wicker, very sturdy, with drain holes. It is self- watering, according to the description. The poles are metal and easily hold up the mesh covering which will keep out critters I am hoping. A nice feature is that you can tie the mesh covering back to water or plant. It’s a very durable set up and I’m excited to plant tomatoes in it! Although 1 person could assemble, it does help with 2 people and would probably make assembly half as long. Also, 2 other tools came in handy: an adjustable wrench was needed to make screwing in the bolt faster while the tool they provided worked great to keep the underside of the bolt in place while tightening. Also, a rubber mallet was useful to tamp down the front gate so it fits snugly. The 4 hinge clamps ended up not being necessary to keep the side, front and rear gates in place. This wagon was the missing piece for my farm and immediately proved its usefulness as soon as it was assembled. It was easy to maneuver onto my riding mower hitch and tows very easily. Very easy to unhitch and roll into place for storage. Highly recommend this for anyone who needs to haul/transport something that a truck would be overkill for. I am finding new uses for it daily!.
