We have had a difficult time finding a shower door for our shower and this unit was a perfect fit for what we needed. The directions were clear and easy to follow, and installation was easy. We did have to cut the top support bar with a scroll saw, but everything went fine. The color was exactly as seen, and is much like a dark espresso color. The delivery drivers were extremely courteous, wonderful, and careful with the product, too! The door opening was smaller than what we had before, but wide enough where you do not feel it is too small when entering or exiting the shower. The door closes smoothly and we could not be happier with the product. We found we needed extra caulking at the base on the inside of the shower after installation, but the fix did the trick. This double sliding door is one giant heavy beast, probably because of the 14” thick 2 glass door panels and the heavy duty hardware. It’s a beautiful unit but I really didn’t think it through. My shower is a fiberglass shell and because my house is over 100 years old, we don’t know yet if there are intact studs behind the shell. With the weight of this, you MUST have studs (or something equally string) to support the weight. When my installer makes time for me to see if this is doable, I will update. Ursula. Spokane, WA.
