I had purchased an 8-inch GreenPan from Wayfair previously. I recently fried tofu in that pan. Frying tofu in a stainless steel or cast iron pan was difficult because the tofu sticks too much. It was easy in the GreenPan, and cleanup was no problem. I decided I needed a bigger GreenPan. The price for the 10-inch and 12-inch set was a bargain - just $20 more than the 12-inch pan along. We have a gas range, which seems to heat up most handles and utensils. With the GreenPan, the handle stays relatively cool. I’ve got a fairly long and steep concrete driveway that is starting to show its age a little bit. There has been some minor cracking from the freeze-thaw cycle each winter. I decided to try the Armour SX5000 water-based sealant to see if it would improve the situation. I have delayed writing this review for a bit as I wanted to driveway to go through at least one winter season. I first pressure washed the entire driveway surface which is pretty time consuming. I then applied the Armour sealant with a manual pump sprayer. This part went fairly quickly. The trick is to get the sealant covering the driveway well, but not so much as to create puddles that aren’t absorbed. I made sure there was no rain in the forecast for a couple of days. Initially, I did half of the driveway first and the first day that it rained the difference on the two sides was very noticeable. Water on the coated side was beading and running off and on the other side it was being absorbed into the concrete. My driveway has now gone through two winters and the sealant is still somewhat effective, but I think I will need to coat it again this fall.. Bryan. Halifax, NS. Fri Mar 27 2026
