These Hevea butcher block countertops were just what I wanted for my new office. They were well packaged and arrived without damage. A few coats of matte poly were easy to apply. Nice smooth edges too so no additional sanding needed. They were less than half the cost of what I could get through my local big box DIY store. Pros: Unit is sturdy and easy to put together. It was exactly the size and design needed to use as a side counter for my home bar with a nicer 6 foot bamboo counter as the front. Cons: Unit is very rough, almost unfinished, very primitive construction. I sanded the whole thing down and put 3 coats of polyurethane on it to improve it.
