First opening the box, it looked to be a major undertaking. However it was a simple job. Just a few notes : some of the pieces are heavy, especially the umbrella holder and might need a second person. The raising and lowering handle was a bit tedious to line up the hole. This is a quality umbrella, very strong. It takes two people to put together for sure because it’s heavy. I would say the directions should have explanations instead of just pictures.
