I usually don't write reviews but I wanted to add one for this table. I was very worried about spending this much on a table and not being able to see it in person first. After a full year of indecision, I decided to take a leap of faith and purchase it. I am so glad I did. This is a beautiful table and exactly what I was looking for. I purchased the table in Moonstone. I have added several pictures in different light so you can see the color. It is a grayish color. Can't wait to get my chairs to finish the room. We were able to sit 11 people around it when it was fully opened. I am sure you could easily squeeze in another if you need 12. I love a round table, makes having a conversion with everyone so much easier. You will not be disappointed. Delivery guys were great and had this together quickly. The Daphne table lamp looks as if it is made of one material in two distinctive finishes but the base is made of wood while the other elements on the navy-blue table lamp are made of iron and brass. The shape of the shade with its painted gold trim is a design detail, as is the gold finish on the interior of the shade that will warm the light bouncing off it.

Ian Thornton designed the Mithra brass table lamp with its powerful brutalist profile. The cast aluminum lamp has all of the attributes that make foundry pieces so special, such as the drifts of stippling on the metal's surface. The antique brass finish highlights the texture to bring the gold lamp the feel of a vintage piece. Thornton was inspired by a mid-century modern sculpture when he designed the Mithra.
