This tub is very impressive, my contractor and plumber really liked the tub. It was just installed so I haven’t actually gotten in it yet. The lights come on and the jets work. But I don’t know how to change the radio station and the glass is a little high so if your a little bit older it would be hard to lift your leg so high to get in and out the tub. I opened everything to inspect it and confirm all parts were included, and everything arrived in perfect condition with no damage. This is a good whirlpool bathtub but it is Not a free-standing tub. By definition a “free-standing bathtub” can be positioned anywhere in a bathroom and doesn’t need to be against a wall. Well this tub does need to be against 2 walls since it’s missing 2 wall side panels. We thought this was an error made by the manufacturer but it’s not. THIS tub replaced one of those horrible, huge, tubs with all the jets that builders put in homes in the 1990s. I gutted my master bath and more than doubled the size of my shower, and had this beauty installed. I wish I had considered the placement of the freestanding water faucet while the plumber was in the deep hole he had to dig to move pipes around....I placed the tub with the little lip under the faucet so some water splatters on the wall.......that was MY mistake so just a suggestion for when you put your tub in. I am used to one of the type tubs that goes in a corner with wall on 3 sides..........long and low. THIS is short and deep. Perfect soaking tub. I am 5'1 so I actually can sit and extend my legs straight out but anyone taller will have their knees up. Even so, a little water comes up on your body giving you an amazing soak.
