I had been eying a metallic backslash but was concerned that the kitchen would be too dark. I purchased the white vinyl tile to tie in with the white sink and I am so glad that I did. Its beautiful! Although I used liquid nails, I purchased the kit with edging so that if the tile sags down the road, the edging will keep it in place. Looks awesome! Easy to glue up with Loctite Power Grab HD adhesive (not the clear one) after I scuffed the paint with some 160 grit sandpaper. I overlapped the flat edges and used some panel nails at each corner, since you have four that overlap, if you do it that way. A little trim mounding around the edges finished it off nicely.. Tony. These ceiling tiles are a little difficult to put up, however, we accomplished the goal. They are light weight and easy to handle, but you will need two people to hang them. Be sure to apply glue to all parts of the tile (particularly on the back of the little squares) except the center flat space because it will get a "lumpy" appearing texture. I’m taking one star off because the “aggressive” adhesive of the double-sided tape was a challenge to work with. But to the good, plenty was provided. I also wound up applying some hot glue under the seams after I had installed the panels. They weren’t hard to cut and any difficulty I had in fitting the panels into my awkward space was the function of the very old crooked walls. Mine is very atypical I think.
