First opening the box, it looked to be a major undertaking. However it was a simple job. Just a few notes : some of the pieces are heavy, especially the umbrella holder and might need a second person. The raising and lowering handle was a bit tedious to line up the hole. This is such a great umbrella! It took a little while to assemble, mainly adding sand to the support bags which took 3.5 bags of playground sand. It definitely helps keep things secure but we still lower the umbrella when it gets breezy. The solar lights are such a pleasant add on.
